Seven days until the beach seven thoughts

1. No more Thunderstorms!! I am not a fan of the lightening it was awful last night! It honestly looked like day time the sky was just lit up!!! I know we need rain, but can't we have a drizzle!

2. I can not wait until the beach I want to start packing, I think I'm most excited about the sand I think that's my favorite thing about the beach, sitting in it walking in it, when it's so hot and you can't barely stand to be on it!

3. I want to be a kid again! What more can I say, I want to play in the woods and run around all day barefoot. I know I'm still a kid but I want to be that carefree. Summer was a lot sweeter then!

4.I love that Cottonelle dog soo much!

5.I love my real dog more!! Ha!

6. Using Word's blog template's is sooo much easier than blogger you can put pictures up so much faster it's a lot easier!

7. I read an awesome article in a College of Charleston magazine my brother gets. It was about the new Miss College of Charleston She is deaf and has been very sick, She went through a lot! Now she's competing to be Ms. SC!! I hope she wins her platform is for kids who have disabilities! The story was so sweet!

Small Successes

Today I accomplished:

• Making my first online purchase, two bathing suits for the beach!
  
• Finishing all my thank you notes for Graduation, Hope I didn't miss anyone
  
• Get some of my books shipped for school for way cheaper!
  
• Sat on my hinny watched TV, ate way too much pasta and didn't do laundry or summer work or anything productive…. Oh wait that's not success ha!
  

Speaking of the beach, I am soo excited! I can't wait to lay on the beach all day soaking in the sun and reading which reminds me I need some good books! Ideas?

PS- Ashley, I don't know if you still read this and I don't have your number but Matthew told me he remembered hearing you were going to Clemson next year, I was just wondering if you are and what your major is … maybe then I can have a friend! Ha I am so scared about it!

Stealing children & summer projects

Shannon, We will gladly steal your children any day!

So, I've been cleaning most everyday and I'm ready for some results I feel no matter how much I do there is still more and I can't even tell I did anything. I want to paint my room eventually! I'm thinking Shabby chic, I can't decide what my style is I really like the country cottage look

but I also like more dramatic look with richer colors too! I would love to be a decorater when I wasn't at school being a teacher! I can't wait to decorate our house!

Summer time!

Happy First day of summer!

I love the lake and we are sooooo lucky to have Matthew's boat it's been so fun! There is nothing better than the two of us setting out on an adventure, given I panic when we go over huge waves but we have fun! it's so relaxing matthew loves to do water sports and he is so good, he amazes me he gets out there and just does it! My Olympian... as he likes to tell Eve he was in the Olympics as a gymnast! ha I don't like water sports, I guess it's hard for people to understand or something, I am a "scaredy cat" as my Grampa called me I hate things like that I can't handle it it makes me so uneasy... I'm scared to do anything I stood at a rope swing holding the rope for thirty minutes and I was too scared to do it..... Ha! But not everybody has to like the same things or we would have a horribly boring life! It's not just lake things it's roller coasters too! I just don't like it I don't enjoy it!

So... I'll stick to driving the boat and pre-dialing 911 in case someone takes a real bad fall. I'll scream when Matthew falls because I worry about him.... some one has to be the mom and I'll gladly take that job! I'm going to try to get some action shots and videos!! I'm very in to taking photos with my new camera!! He does 360's on the knee-board!

On Friday we had a picnic! It was so so fun! I got everything ready and it was delicious , we were roughin it ha! i felt like the pioneer woman

We had steak and campfire potatoes and corn on the cob!! all on the grill!

Then we rode to a waterfall on the lake it was cool but there was lots of people and they are turning it in to a neighborhood :( sad but it was still very cool

My prayer today

Dear Lord,

You are my shelter and my shield. You are everything to me. I can't tell you I love you enough and thank you for everything you do for me. I talk to you in my head almost all the time. I love my God.

Online Shopping

After work today,, my super hard 3 1/2 hours of work! which i love, I did some online shopping for some good deals which I did find but not before I learned some new things!

1. I'm pretty sure I wore this in 1995, wait..... yes I did it was paired with leggings with stirrups!

2. Real people can't wear these shoes! That's not even a shoe that looks like a water slide for ants! this is a hot item for summer!.... not mine

3. I always found it embarrassing to have patches on my pants, apparently raggedy Ann is super in right now!

4. Laura Ingles Wilder would be a fashonista!!!

So I guess I'll be saving my money and not picking up these hot items! Very tempting!

not so much....

I couldn't have been more excited about school next year until today... Orientation day!

It ended in tears and I am still in bed.... not much more to say than that! And I have to go again tomorrow! I am definitely not excited, all of my AP classes don;t give me credit for any of my classes they are all electives,,, basically the hours I spent in high school and I mean hours working my tail off in my 3 AP classes my eighteen hours of credit are useless! I struggled for two years staying up reading and studying for useless classes!

Who was I to think anything about college would be easy? At least they didn't clear my bank account out today! Something to look forward to for tomorrow!!!

I'm starting to save now, every penny counts, I'm picking up the face down ones too..... I mean it!

At least we won today! Go Tigers!!!

Graduation!!!

Finally it's over, It was such a great day my whole family was there and I couldn't be more happy! I felt so blessed I was just in shock to be surronded by my family that NEVER visits! The actual graduation was embarrassing to say the least! Now I get to put all that graduation money to good use on Monday at Clemson Orientation! :( not fun

I love her, Matthew hates her, my impression is dead on and he can't stand when i do it! She was sooo funny and just didn't care at all, her show is hilarious! I love love cooking, Paula Deen you're my idol, my brother went to her buffet tonight! Jealous!!! I have a journal cookbook and I just enjoy reading cook books and experimenting!

Burt's Bees

Not only is super good smelling and works perfectly... not greasy or nasty) but it's all natural! I'm sorry but nastey harsh chemicals all over my lips is just not appealing! Matthew just got me a new one two days ago! It goes on like butt-ah! ha

Presents!!

Matthew brought me my graduation present today... It's not that I am a material girl, it's the thought, it's so sweet how Matthew knows just what I like! He's such a good boyfriend I'm lucky!

He got me a Vera Bradley purse in the cutest brown print! I love it so much! And natural soap in the most delcious scents! I have super sensitive skin and I can't use much but this seems to work! And new Burts Bees chap stick-all my beauty essentials! Also this is my favorite part, the matching Vera Bradley paper, what does Julia love more than paper!

Kendall and Katie, and how we spent their wedding night!

We went to a beautiful wedding on Saturday! It was At a place called "Pretty Place" on the NC/SC border, Matthew's friend Kendall got married, he was a groomsmen!

The colors were orange and blue, wow it looked so good! Everything was just beautiful! I cried about six times before the day was over! Matthew looked so cute all dressed up! I had a crazy red eye the day before so I feared i looked like Quasi moto, and Matthew was still sick, he was sniffling :)
Matthew and Kendall have been friends for ever, (isn't this picture adorable! it's frameworthy)and we've as couples hung out a lot, I really like both of them and they are perfect for each other! It was beautiful the surroundings the ceremony They both looked ecstatic!

The recpetion was so nice, Martha Stewart living-for sure!

On the drive home is started to pour it was awful! the roads were flooded we were hydroplaning! It was like God tapping on our shoulders, be careful! I had this feeling something bad was coming! We got to Matthew's and he just clonked out, I thought he was just tuckered out from his big day, So he slept and I watched the Notebook and sobbed for about two hours straight, he didn't wake up for anything, i shook him and talked to him and he would not get up, he had told me about a horrble headache he had that morning but he tooks some meds and we hurried along with the rest of the days activites, but when we got home he was really in pain.

After hours of this weird sleeping habits, we decided to go to the ER, If you don't have your health you don't have anything, and there is no point in suffering, if you're in that much pain and sick, you need a doctor! He looked pitful, i wanted to just cradle him, He had his new blanket I made him and he just looked like a little toddler teetering so gently not to hurt his head, (I prayed and cried in the waiting room, they should really get spme distractions in there, It just makes you crazy waiting in there.)

But all is good he is ok! He has a severe sinus infection in all the places you can have one, poor boy! He really scared us I was thinking something much wrose was going on, of course, since I am a pessimistic spaz! Pray for him! I can't wait until you're better!

Update from Martha's apprentice

So, Martha gave me the ideas to make these bags! They are super easy to make ! I got so excited, I made the huge one as a laundry bag for my friend who is moving away and the little one for myself. The show was making them for a wedding present like to pack shoes and jewelry they made all different sizes I don't know what I'll put in mine but it's just so darn cute!

This weekend is one of Matthew's good friend's wedding! I really like Kendall and Katie! And i am super excited about the wedding. Matthew is in it and I'm about thousand times more excited than him, ha! he's excited to more just to be there for his friend, I am excited about getting dressed up and seeing him all dressed up and dancing! I wouldn't mind being a wedding planner during my summers off!

Every time I turn on the tv it's wedding stuff! I've been at home for the past two weeks because I'm done with school, and boy has Martha stewart gotten to me! I spent a fortune on craft stuff last night! And she's had alot of wedding shows on lately! And the today show too! Invitations, save the date, and flowers! Ah, I can't get it off the brain!
